Are you worried about finding a safe environment for your special child to achieve skill based training and certification once they leave school? Chitra Lane has initiated two Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission of Sri Lanka (TVEC) accredited courses leading to the occupations of “Baker” at National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 and “Paper Recycling Technician” at NVQ Level 3. We are very excited to have our first batch graduating soon!

Chitra Lane’s “Care and Education for children with special needs” course has been accredited as an NVQ Level 4 course by TVEC. This is the first vocational course related to “Children with Special Needs” to obtain accreditation by a reputed National accreditation body in Sri Lanka. The training of the first batch of students following this one year course which consists of 6 months of institutional training and 6 months of on-the-job training, is currently in its final stages and it is planned to recruit the next batch in the near future.
